Re: HD homerun prime - network light red

This happened to a second tuner today. I replaced power supply (wall wart) and the tuner is now fully functional. This made me think it might be a good idea to add a B+/Vcc voltage item to the tuner menu in the firmware for troubleshooting I say this because, in addition to the network connection dr...

Re: Single Instance Record Overide

You can't have a series recording and a one-off recording of the same show. I understand that you haven't enabled that type of functionality. I'm sure that the code could be designed that would enable this. That is why I am pointing it out. To limit choices to either ALL or Series is inflexible.

XBox One S B Button Funtion

The B button on the XBOX typically acts as a back button and if pressed enough times will back you completely out of the app. This does work fairly consistently through the HDHR app. But there are times where it doesn't and this really depends on the build. In the most current build (20190919f) in t...

Single Instance Record Overide

Okay this is specific. Under Tasks a series has been set to record the Current Season, in the same place I see that there is an episode that will be rebroadcast from a previous season which I would like to record. Currently if I browse down to that item in the task list but there is no way for me to...

Re: HDHomerun DVR force default use for specific Tuner

I've always thought they should go by ip address as that is something a user can control if they wish though it probably would need a line in the config file to use it as people have been told to expect ota over cable. This makes so much sense, I wish I had thought of it. Or they could assign throu...

Re: HDHomerun DVR force default use for specific Tuner

I think what Neil means to say is that the sensitivity of the tuners can vary from one to another. I have serviced TV receivers for many years and RF tuners do require a certain amount of 'magic' to peak properly. There can be variance between identical models. Granted things are a lot better than t...

Re: No Tuning Resolver Connected

131F has stabilized and is no longer searching for a connection. What a chore this whole thing was. I still don't know it the tuner I subbed out is any good.

The RDC numbers are reasonable. The 1312 device isn't reporting any issues with the TA losing sync. 131F is. Bad TA.
1312 was losing sync that evening but seems to have stabilized. 131F is the box and TA that I replaced last week :?. K I'll get another.

Re: No Tuning Resolver Connected

It seems to only do this when the tuner isn't actively tuned to a channel. The log in Device ID: 131F6468 has actually rolled over.

Re: HDHomerun DVR force default use for specific Tuner

Darn You can change the tuner priority in WMC. That's if the tuner is paired with WMC. I recently replaced a Prime and the reason I needed to do this is so WMC and HDHRDVR didn't fight for the same tuner. I rarely had that problem before. Not in the mood right now to fight with resetting and reconf...

Re: No Tuning Resolver Connected

I checked the tuner log file and can see that both tuners are repeatedly doing this starting around 1pm on the card.. That is the same time that the tech was here..9am est. I called the cable company and they say as long as I have a picture then there is nothing that they can do. I asked them to sen...

Re: No Tuning Resolver Connected

Oh and I bypassed everything and ran a cable from the TA directly to the main cable input and the measurements did not improve.

Re: No Tuning Resolver Connected

Often I would agree with this but that same signal is feeding the prime which is giving a 13dBmV swing for the same frequency. Personally I don't like daisy chaining the prime through the TA, though usually on a cisco TA you can get away with such, I have seen issues with the internal amp of the TA...
