Re: Semi-Clueless OLD Newbie
Thanks for all the OLD folks in the same boat and the great replies from the knowledgeable !! Got my HDHR 4K Connect the other day. Of course it has been raining every time I want to go on the roof to add Juice preamp and a taller mast to put the antenna up to 12 feet above the roof (2 story house)...

Re: Semi-Clueless OLD Newbie
The HDHomeRun app will run on almost any inexpensive devices.....
Do you want/need a device that connects directly to your TV by the HDMI port or do you want a stand alone box that has an Ethernet port........

Re: DVR running on Android has red (X)
This is the Android device that I am using for my HDHomeRun DVR https://www.bee-link.com/collections/player/products/gs-king-x a Beelink GS King X. It has two internal drive bays and is a file server, and the drives are just like the drives in a PC, NOT formated as a dedicated internal drive storage...

Re: DVR running on Android has red (X)
I wondered where ALL my recordings went to............ Do not uninstall the Android version when using it for DVR, as doing this will delete all previously made recordings. I had read that information before, but had forgotten. Opps, while trying to "solve the issue of the red (X), I uninstalled the...

DVR running on Android has red (X)
I am running the HDHomeRun DVR engine on an Android box that has two internal hard drives, and it is working quite well. Problem, but not really a problem, is that under the "http://my.hdhomerun.com/#tab-2" of a windows internet browser (Chrome), the "HDHomeRun RECORD Version 20210225" has a RED X n...

Re: what's the frame rate on the homerun duo
Depending on station it was probably an (de)interlace issue. Framerate doesn't "apply" to the tuner as it merely sends out the bits. It is all on the client (hardware and software) and network (preferably wired, though many won't have trouble with wifi, always try to eliminate that as a source of i...

Re: what's the frame rate on the homerun duo
Maybe the solution for my case is to purchase a 4k box with the atsc 3.0 once it’s available in Canada. We’re you watching a 4k broadcast (I know the game wasn’t 4k but the OTA channel could have been) on the atsc 3.0 tuner, or are you able to select which tuner you use within the unit when choosin...

Re: what's the frame rate on the homerun duo
I connected a homerun duo this weekend. Frames are a little choppy on all my devices (fireTV, AppleTV, LG TV, PC, Samsung TV) but when I run the antenna directly into either of my TVs I get a smoother picture. I was watching the superbowl, and I ended up just going with the antenna into the TV as i...

Re: what's the frame rate on the homerun duo
When the game was jerky for you, was the android box the tuner or the connect 4k? The Android box has no tuner, it was using the over the air signal from my antenna sent to my HDHomeRun devices. The Connect 4k has four tuners, the first two are ATSC 3.0 and the other two are ATSC 1.0. The ATSC 1.0 ...

Re: what's the frame rate on the homerun duo
I purchased a new Google Certified Android box (Mecool KM6 Deluxe) last week, and it supports automatic frame rate switching. Last night while watching the Super Bowl, the frame rate kicked in causing the box to switch to 29.97 fps, and the game was all jerky. The stats said the broadcast was 29.97 ...

I do not have any issue with the video stuttering on channel 107.1. the video is fantastic. This is using a Mecool KM1. I am using a hardware ethernet connection.

Re: List of Hardware and Software that Supports Dolby AC-4
I have three different Android devices that have audio on the atsc 3.0 channels.
Nvidia shield
TiVo stream 4K
Mecool KM1. The Mecool is my player of choice.
