OK so for anyone else who may face a similar issue, it occurred to me that though the record engine now survives reboots, it does not survive a NAS firmware update. You need to logon to the My Cloud Mirror Admin page and click on apps. From there you can either turn off or uninstall the HDHomerun App. That would work on the dashboard of the Mirror, but mine is the single drive First Gen MyCloud 6TB NAS model WDBCTL0060HWT and the Dashboard for that does not ha...

Hi I want to repurpose my First Gen MyCloud 6TB NAS model WDBCTL0060HWT which is currently running the DVR record engine and move DVR duties to a new better NAS.
