Re: Firmware 20250506
20250506 isn't just the changes from 20250505beta1, it also has the changes in every beta that came out after 20230713 for the HDHR4/HDTC, 20231020 for HDHR5 and newer, and 20231214 for the HDD/FLEX models:

Re: Anyone else see signal improvement after 20250506
The new channel scan seemed to include a signal strength indicator on the right. I don't know if its due to changes in the Milw and Chicago broadcast signal or the new firmware but suddenly my channel reception has improved.
Good to know, thanks.

Firmware 20250506
There is no mention of fw version 20250506 in the changelog or on Bluesky. After some poking around on the forum I found out it's the same as 20250505beta1 but the changelog only mentions changes for ATSC 3.0 devices. What does this do for my HDHR3-CC and HDHR4-2US devices?

HDHomeRun app Splash Screen sound
I like the new splash screen but PLEASE give us the option to disable that LOUD OBNOXIOUS startup sound. It's the third most annoying sound in history, only slightly behind the TXH "Deep Note" sound and fingernails on a chalkboard. It makes me not want to launch the app at all.

Re: DRM error Shield TV
It wasn't that long ago the Android Boxes couldn't play DRM channels
after the last issue months ago, and then that was eventually fixed/updated.
This gets frustrating. All because of DRM licensing? and expirations?....
Just as I posted this
( the DRM channels are back up? on my android boxes ...

Re: DRM error Shield TV
I am still waiting for someone to confirm to me that the new shield update works properly for cablecard drm but your issue is probably with verizon and proper pairing.
CableCARD DRM is working for me after installing the Shield Experience 9.2 update. I also have Verizon Fios in Philadelphia. I ...

nick - nobody uses bluesky. you locked the thread so that people can't reply and tell you how cringe that is.
IMHO all social media is cringe.
Nick, please keep updating the changelog thread with detailed info. I don't mind if you also post it elsewhere but if you only post on social media sites ...

Re: Encryption
Dunno if the mods will get back to you. But I think they block all references to any product that is even remotely competitive to SiliconDust products. I'd guess that they just don't want SD forum content appearing when someone does a google search about another product. Nothing to do with piracy ...

Re: Recording metadata - TPeterson
RecordStartTime and RecordEndTime should be different to StartTime and EndTime anyway due to padding.
StartTime and EndTime is the TV guide... if you change the EndTime it will no longer match the TV guide and won't make sense.
If you are editing the length of the file set RecordStartTime to ...
