Re: Show recorded but is not showing in the recordings

I have had this happen with a HAllmark movie. Restarting the NAS/DVR engine did not fix it. I watched the movie using other software.

Re: Non DRM Channels Stutter Un Watchable

G-- PC is an i7 with a GTX 1080ti.
open the nVidia Control Panel; Click the + beside Video; Click on Adjust video image settings. UNCHECK 'use inverse telecine'. Click APPLY
That should help

Re: Gave Up

There is a more "cut the cord" way to "cut the cord," and that is free, over-the-air television.
The only true way to cut the cord. Here in East TN, I can pick up about 30 channels, but only 3 that I would even watch.

Re: Gave Up

Remember there are still Data Caps and with 4k you will use it up in no time. Comcast in my area has 1TB. I am sure if I wanted to stream the channels I like it will be used quickly. So before you say streaming is an option over Cable TV check your data caps. My sister just signed up with ATT which...

Re: Gave Up

Dropping cable tv normally shaves your bill a bit.
Not if I want the same channels. Even PSVue and those similar still don't have 'a le carte' pricing.

Re: Connectivity Whitepaper

The use case is a rooftop antenna on a large apartment building filled with cord-cutters that want to tune into OTA TV.
Isn't the building wired from the antenna to each apartment? Why couldn't the renters just use an indoor antenna?

Re: Gave Up

Just curious. How does one 'cut the cord' if you still need internet for Netflix, etc.? Where I'm located, I only have two choices for internet - Charter or ATT. At the prices they charge, I wouldn't call that 'cutting the cord'. I checked into PSVue and Sling. To get the same channels that I get no...

Re: Protected channels on Windows 10 - mm401

The audio is all there, but the video is like a slideshow (every 10 secs, 8 secs, 4 secs, etc.) that eventually becomes a video stream.
My new laptop does something like that occasionally. Sometimes just changing the channel, then back will help.

Re: Unofficial Kodi PVR Client for HDHomeRun DVR subscribers

ONly thing I found odd was the 'rules' list. (all channels) followed by the Show name seems backwards. If I'm looking through my rules, most likely looking for a particular show or movie. Also the word 'timers' confused me a little. My biggest issue is with Kodi in general. Constantly jumping back a...

Re: Channel Guide?

Without a grid guide, I won't be using this software to watch live TV at all. I like the idea of having a low power NAS doing the recording though. I will probably just pay for a guide to keep WMC going.

Re: Win 10 apps using 2 tuners

Also consider, not everyone uses the Win Store Apps or want to deal with the stupid MS account requirement, No different from an Android device requiring a Google account or Apple device requiring an Apple account. I see no reason why Microsoft shouldn't require the same to install from the MS Store.

Re: Unofficial Kodi PVR Client for HDHomeRun DVR subscribers

Thanks, is that the same thing as 'synchronize channel groups from backend'? I don't see any other choice. (Kodi 17.1) That setting didn't make a difference. Can't use the add on if the channels aren't what I'm used to using. ---- Really odd. After closing and opening Kodi a few times, two other opt...

Re: Unofficial Kodi PVR Client for HDHomeRun DVR subscribers

Just installed Kodi 17 to try this out. First thing I noticed is the channel numbers are all wrong. I have disabled 1-109 which are standard definition. Yet the PVR add on is using those numbers. Is this to be expected?

Re: Channel Guide?

No and doesn't seem to be in the near future. The hDHomeRun app shows the guide on the right and you can pull out a 'slice' for each channel. I could deal with this if there was a text only option. The images are too distracting and the text as is now is too small to read from 10 feet (for me at lea...

Is this a Prime? There have been reports of some Primes just dropping off the network. Silicon Dust is working on the issue.
