Re: Lack of basic record button makes me miss shows

But at least if I were watching at the time if I could just hit 'record' and have it start recording immediately I would have an option to circumvent such issues when I'm around. I can see where such feature would be handy, but how long should it record? Since you are not going 'by the guide', shou...

Re: App releases this week

On that note, is this a beta release that is coming or a full release?
Must be full release as it auto updated in Windows/XBox

Weird... I see a red button that does just that. Doesn't work as one would expect, but it does work.

Re: Grid Guide

Again, I wish SD continued success I only ask they reconsider the status quo regarding providing a standard grid guide as an option.

Check the new NAS if it has a firewall. HDHomeRun app must be allowed through firewall.

Audio switching?

2 Days ago, I was watching a Hallmark Movies and Mysteries recording on an XBox 1 S and Samsung HDTV connected to Samsung soundbar with sub. Within the first 10min or so, the audio seemed to be switching between stereo and 5.1. Stopped and didn't do it again. Haven't noticed it on Live TV or any oth...

Re: Any recourse? Back to stone age. Everything DRM now

That is what it sounds like to me. Why invest a lot of time and money into a product like the Prime 6 if the only thing that can use it to record DRM content is WMC? They need their DVR product to support DRM and be successful in order to drive sales for the Prime 6. But there is still many places ...

Re: Fast Forward...

I can't seem to figure out how to fast forward in the HDHR app except to repeatedly hit the ">>" button to jump 30 seconds at a time. With the devices that have a 'd pad' on the remote, UP/Down is 10min forward / back. Right is 30 sec forward and left is 10 sec back. [number corrected by moderator]

Re: Will planned UI improvements address workflows? Such as picking a specific airing to watch?

not a single click. Double click. Works fine for me with movies and other shows. All you are doing is telling the DVR to record that show on that channel. If it is a show in progress, just go back to Live TV after you set the recording. I would find it very annoying if it automatically tuned that ch...

Re: Subtitles

When watching live TV, hit a button on your device remote and the on screen display should pop up. Go left to CC and click the OK button.

Re: Windows 10 and QuickTV

it is no "solution for cord cutters." Depends on YOUR definition of 'cord cutter'. Every site I've read, show cord cutters using over-the-air TV along with streaming which requires an internet connection. The free HDHomeRun requires internet to grab the limited Guide data. I'm surprised that Silico...
