allows you to modify the recording rule to only record a specific channel.
Is this on the list of future improvements?

You can use other software that some users have created to fill this need,
This is exactly what I don't want to do, and exactly why I bought a SCRIBE.

Re: Record HD instead of SD How to

Last time i checked such listings here my local pbs actually had the sd shows under different names as one listed as "hour" while the other listed the two halves separately. I have the 3 listings for TOH like you describe. The listings that split the hour into two programs only show the .2 (SD) cha...

Record HD instead of SD How to

The This Old House Hour airs 3 times over a period of three days on my PBS standard definition sub-channel before finally airing on the main HD channel. How do I get it to record only the HD airing? I've marked the HD channel as a favorite, but it still shows the selected candidate as the first airi...

Re: Just bought HDHR5 4DC (EU) TV Tuner Black *100mbit NIC?*

Given that they're starting from scratch (again) on the 6 tuner PRIME, I'd be surprised to see a 100Mb NIC on the redesign after all the backlash on these forums.

Re: I don't want this thread to be about complaints

If you use a SCRIBE / SERVIO, there isn't much technical stuff involved at all. It just works. I think that was SD's goal with those products.

Feature Request

Could you add a tab to the app that would show tuner details? I'm specifically interested in storage space on my SCRIBE, but all the data available on the tuner webpages seems a sensible inclusion. Having this information available in the app would save a lot of headache for the less technically inc...

Exactly as heath600 describes it.

Edited to add that I see this whether or not I do any pausing.

Guide refresh

Hdhomerun Scribe 151032EF. Send diagnostic info turned on in the device and the app on fire tv (the small thin box, 2nd gen maybe) When watching recorded content, if the content is watched beyond a period where the guide would refesh to the next time slot, it does not refresh to the current time slo...

Re: Internal Power Supply

I can't speak for SD's motives for using a wall wart, but when you bring 120VAC inside your device, your whole device now needs UL Labs approval. As it currently is, UL Labs only needs to look at the power supply.

Re: When the Prime 6 comes out, how many are you planning on getting

The Prime 6 only has 100 NIC I do not see how much stress that will put on any Gigabit Network Switch... A Quatro will probably stress the Network more. I'm thinking more about the processing power of the switch to manage one port being switched out to up to 6 other ports while not dropping packets...

Re: When the Prime 6 comes out, how many are you planning on getting

I think when the Prime 6 comes out, a lot of people are going to find out how good (or bad) their network hardware is capable of handling, as some would say, a full pipe. I personally chose a Cisco small business switch for my home network. It is well supported, very affordable, and feature packed. ...
