Re: Manually adding a channel

Agreed. Every time I do a scan the channel lineup changes. Right now I don't have USA HD. But if I scanned again, it would likely show up, but the odds are another channel might disappear.

I posted about this long ago, but no one cared. Cablevision w/ the NDS cablecard...

Re: When the Prime 6 comes out, how many are you planning on getting

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm looking forward to Lon Seidman's annual interview with Ted Head at CES 2020 so we can hear Ted promise the Prime 6 sometime in late 2020. Why stop at 2020. it'll be great promotional announcement for 2021 also By 2021 cablecards may not even exist. Maybe th...

Re: SiliconDust Blog (9/9/2014) – Android App

That does look interesting for 100 bucks and if it supports MPEG2 natively then the prime would work fine even on cable networks that haven't switched to H.264. To replace a cable box though, it would need an app with a decent EPG on top of the HDHomeRun View functionality to get over the 'WAF' hur...

Re: SiliconDust Blog (9/9/2014) – Android App

Is there anyway to get the HDHomeRun View app to install onto the Fire TV? Or do you have to do some sort of sideload thing? I'm curious as the company I work for is currently evaluating using HDHomerun Prime + FireTV/Android devices. I have tested one android device with the HDHomerun VIEW app and...

Re: SiliconDust Blog (9/9/2014) – Android App

I also sideloaded the app onto my FireTV, and it works, but it gets video stuttering pretty often regardless if it's a wired or wireless connection. Plays great on my ADT-1 though. Would that be because the FireTV lacks MPEG2?

Re: SiliconDust Blog (9/9/2014) – Android App

Thanks for the update!!! I can't believe I missed this yesterday, since I usually check the site every day or so... I was gonna post to ask when it was coming but didn't want to be annoying  edit: In the Play store it's listed as not compatible with the ADT-1. When I get home in 25 minutes ...
