Re: Are there plans to add DVB-T2 HD (H.265/HEVC) support?

Exactly, the product pages only show DVB-T2 Support . But we don't have DVB-T2 in Germany. We have DVB-T2 HD which uses H.265/HEVC instead of regular H.264. Again, the official name in Germany is DVB-T2 HD . Yes, you do have DVB-T2. "DVB-T2 HD" is just marketing because DVB-T was just SD in Germany...

Re: Quick status update & AMD GPU dilemma - 20160127

The approvals and certificates for handling protected content came through. The first platform to support protected channels (Live TV) will be the XBox One. Android TV platforms won't be far behind.
So I guess I'll still be running WMC/Win7 for some time to come...

Re: MythTV Frontend app for new Apple TV

Re: HDHomeRun on new Apple TV

I presume you looked only at the DTLA licensing fees. Well, yes I only looked at their fees because those fees alone are prohibitively expensive (Maybe 1400 backers doesn't seem unfeasible to you, but that's 35% of the backers for the HDHomeRun DVR which has much wider appeal than just an app for a...

Re: HDHomeRun on new Apple TV

do you know of any other software that's utilizing a DTCP-IP license? The only software available to consumers now that I know of is the HDHomeRun View client for Android. I don't actually know of any independent software that supports it. Maybe you could start a kickstarter to fund it? You would o...

Re: HDHomeRun on new Apple TV

Unfortunately no. To date, the only company/software that's been certified to play protected channels has been Microsoft and Media Center. That's not really the case anymore. Any client that supports DTCP-IP can play back protected channels. But I expect there is no DTCP-IP api in the Apple TV SDK....
