Re: Roku interface overhaul?

Dude, search this forum. The answer is a definite NO. And it is not SDs fault.

Re: HDHomerun Setup - No Ethernet Close

Hello, I have installed many using PowerLine. The most repeatable success has been when I used a bit more pricy unit. I recommend "Comtrend G.hn 1200Mbps Powerline Ethernet Bridge Adapter 2-Unit Kit PG-9172KIT". You can pick one up on Amazon for around $90 USD. The Comtrend product seems to have som...

Re: HDHomeRun. Black Screen Only

The "Black Screen" on LIVE, has been resolved. SD just recently posted the following; "Some users who haven't updated the firmware somewhat recently might find that the HDHomeRun app stops working with live TV. If you've already tried updating the HDHomeRun app and it still doesn't work, look to see...

I have had two customers that experienced this. Both were after a power outage over the past 48 hrs.

**** Caveat ****

Just in case you have not read the threads on using ROKU with HD tuners ... ROKU does not have a stellar record of fully supporting Live TV streams. If you are not familiar, I strongly suggest that you search this forum for ROKU.

Re: Electrical interference (?)

It is not the USB ports. The fan motor is creating noise in the same frequency band as your TV channels. So it is masking or overriding the TV signal. Electric motors are notorious at creating spurious RF interference. I would suggest investigating your ASUS to find out why it is overheating. Is the...

Re: Signal Chart

@neds You posted a screen shot of a chart showing signal strength and quality in this post: https://forum.silicondust.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=113&t=75371&p=372867#p372867 Do you have a tool or app that generates the chart? Ned, I am also interested in how the graph was compiled. If there is a non...

Re: Windows app - sound, no video

Have you installed the MPEG-2 Video Extension from Microsoft Corp. ?
I have version 1.1.22661.1 installed and it works great on both ATSC1 and ATSC3 broadcasts.

Re: iOS and Android apps don't work

You say that the HD works with Plex but not with Apple and Android apps.

Don't be offended but are the HD, the Apple device and the Android device on the exact same subnet?

Re: Freezing when 'mute' enabled, or other programs opened

Ok - some specifics to go with the new capture. As said, I have a media keyboard with a hardware 'mute' button. It is that button I am using. Just for Ss&Gs, since you indicated that the same Media Keyboard is used on both Windows 10 systems; you may want to be more descriptive of the Media Keyboar...

Re: Signal Issues

If you are using Windows 10 anywhere on your network, download the full Windows package from /Support/Downloads. You will also need to accept the C++ installs. Once Installed open file browser and go to C:\Program Files\Silicondust\HDHomeRun and create a shortcut to the program "hdhomerun_config_gui...

Not to be dense, but I do not get the purpose of this new "XMLTV format guide" service?

Not so sure about the HDMI need. In my installation of over three dozen HD/Antennas, I had one customer who would have wanted an HDMI connection from the HD. So, not a great demand in my mind.
