Re: Is my PRIME fried?

First thing to try is a replacement power supply, they are relatively cheap and the most likely component to fail.

Re: HDhomerun needs frequent reboots latest firmware - dfairles

Since you have the older HDHR4-2US model it could be a bad supply. The supply needs to meet the specs at this link https://shop.silicondust.com/shop/produ ... 0-2-0-amp/ If your replacement supply is not at least 1 amp it is not beefy enough to do the job.

Re: Stacking Tuners

I would avoid stacking not for interference reasons but rather heat dispersal reasons since heat rises and is a major cause of electronic device failure. The stacked units will almost certainly run hotter than unstacked.

Re: DUO intermittent loss of one tuner

Most likely thing to fail is the power adapter. Try replacing that. Fairly inexpensive from SD or compatible ones are on Amazon.
Here is SD replacement for older DUO: https://shop.silicondust.com/shop/produ ... 0-2-0-amp/
Newer DUO is different but also available.

Re: HD Homerun with Off Air Antenna

No, the HD HomeRun Prime units (ones that use Cable Cards) do not have tuners capable of OTA reception. You would need a HomeRun Quatro or Duo to receive over the air broadcast TV.

Re: After almost 7 Years(2013) My last Prime Died!

Be sure it is not just the power adapter dying. They are the most likely thing to fail and they are still easy to replace.
